What can I expect in the infusion area?
The VISTA clinic is so comfortably appointed, many of our patients have commented that receiving their treatment here would be comparable to sitting in their living rooms at home! The infusion area is comprised of several roomy recliner-like chairs, with side tables and ambient lighting for resting, reading, watching DVD's or listening to music on your personal stereo.
The nursing staff will explain each step of your treatment and walk you through the process so if you have any questions about anything taking place, don't hesitate to ask at that time. Once your treatment has begun, there's always a staff member close at hand for any concerns or requests that may arise. At VISTA, you always have our complete attention!
Will I have to provide any information to my own doctor after my treatments?
The benefit of our fully coordinated care approach is that our patients can receive their infusion therapy with minimal administrative involvement - we really do try to make the procedure as convenient as possible so you can concentrate on yourself and leave the details to us! The VISTA staff, Neuroloy Institue of San Antonio and Dr. Gazda are committed to providing you, your family and your physicians with open communication at every stage of your treatment. |
Many of our patients have similar questions regarding their initial visit or other issues. Check here to see if your concerns are addressed fully or feel free to contact one of our staff members for additional assistance.
What steps should I take before my first visit, especially for outside referrals?
If Dr. Gazda, Dr. Neiman, or Dr. Van Delden is not making the referral, your physician should provide us with all pertinent patient, clinical and insurance information, including medical records and any other related materials.
How do I schedule my appointments?
Our staff will first verify your individual benefits and any pre-certification requirements. Then your appointment and subsequent treatment plan will be scheduled based on a coordinated effort between your own physician and Dr. Gazda.
Is there anything special I need to know about arriving at the clinic?
Our facility is generally open Monday through Friday during normal business hours so there is no special access required. The VISTA staff will be expecting you so your treatment can begin at the scheduled time. |
